A Road Well Travelled: October 2007

Lost Goblins

Reports from the Southern island indicate that the Goblin presence has decreased. No one has emerged from the mine recently, and that seems unusual.

The giants have set sail on their own rescue mission.

Rhonas reports that a small dragon arrived at the mine face earlier and dropped a pack close to the feet of Torfeld. Tomepicker is sat by my side and looking all puffed up after his important meeting.

No Fighting

There has been no fighting on Southern island today. There have been no Goblins to fight.

I wish I knew where they have gone to.

The fighters have moved closer to the centre of the island without any trouble, and approached Torfeld. Reports say that his chains are too tough to break. He cannot be freed at the moment.

Reunion

Torfelds friends have arrived on Southern island. They have ripped the chains from him without any trouble, and freed him.

If the Goblins are inside the mine, we will soon know as without Torfeld operating the pulley system, the waters will begin to rise and force them out.

18 October

No Signs

Rhonas says there have been no Goblins emerging from the mines. They cannot be in there.

The Hymitots are operating the water pump, whilst some of our fighters enter the mine to see what is there.

What has Yermej created below ground, and where does it go?

Worrying Developments

There are no Goblins in the mine of Southernmost Island.

However, we've found a long tunnel that is heading south. My concerns are that the Goblins have tunnelled far enough to reach the mainland. They could be anywhere.

It's time to send the main body of our army sweeping down the Island to flush out the Goblins. I'm also thinking that with the halting in mining, has Yermej found the fire crystal that he was digging for?

Mountain Combat

I am leading the charge for the Goblins. We have reached the Great Mountains. There have been several small incidents with Goblins at the edge of the mountains that lead us to think they are hiding amongst the peaks and valleys.

A message has been sent back to Island camp for all troops to head down towards us and join in our assault.

Scouting for Enemies

The dragons are flying over the great mountains looking for the main Goblin army. They have not yet seen any great mass of them, but have reported several small groups of Goblins seemingly fleeing across the mountains.

Dare I think that Yermej has abandoned them and left them to defend themselves?
